Bring Back the Reminder Bell in Calendar A reminder in Outlook 2003 would also pop up notifying you of the appointment by default. You still will get a reminder pop-up when a meeting is ready in 2010 and 20013, but the bell icon doesn’t display on the Calendar. Turn on the Calendar Reminder Bell In either 2010 or 2013 go to File > Options > Calendar. Then scroll down to the Calendar Options section and check the box “Show bell icon on the calendar for appointments and meetings with reminders,” then remember to click OK to save the setting....
When you upgrade your system, Windows creates a copy of the previous version on the local hard drive in case you need to roll back to the previous install. Set Windows to Accept Remote Connections On your Windows PC, you need to set it to accept incoming remote connections. In Windows 8.1 right-click This PC, or Computer in Windows 7, then click Properties. On the next screen that comes up click Remote Settings in the left pane. That opens System Properties, and from there check “Allow remote connections to this computer” and for enhanced security check “Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication” then click OK....
